Hello! My name in Clíona and I am 26 years old. As some of you may know, I have been battling endometriosis and adenomyosis for the guts of 10 years. Having had 2 unsuccessful surgeries in Ireland, and been passed on from consultant to consultant,I have exhausted my treatment options here and have had to seek specialist treatment abroad. This May I will be travelling to London for excision surgery, and the costs are a lot to bear alone. I am paying for this surgery out of pocket due to our country's failure to provide adequate care for women in my position. Endometriosis has slowly been taking away the little freedoms people take for granted. I am in pain every day in some form or another. This surgery will not cure me, but it could give me a better quality of life. Any donation, big or small, would make a huge difference and lighten the financial burden of this necessary treatment.
