Clinton's Fight - Round 2

I am creating this fundraiser in a plea to anyone and everyone in the Chattanooga region to support Clinton McClure as he battles cancer for the second time in 5 years.

It is difficult to describe the extent of who Clinton is and the enormity of value his presence adds to Chattanooga. As a barber, he is simply unmatched. There is a complexity and depth to his craft that is impossible to understand or pattern. What he does cannot be reproduced. Prior to accepting appointments, it was not uncommon for folks to gladly wait 2-3 hours on the church pew, just watching and talking. Talking music, politics, sports, culture, society.

Clinton is a business owner and culturally he has created in Goodfellas Barbershop a sample of modern society. Clinton has white and black clients, an uncommon practice among barbers that results in conversation of shared perspective. Clinton himself is mixed race and grew up attending both inner-city predominantly black schools and rural predominantly white schools. Over the last 11 years I have followed him to 3 locations and the knowledge I have gained far exceeds the value of any haircut. I know I am not the only one.

5 years ago Clinton opened GoodFellas Barbershop and it became everything a barbershop should be. 8 months into the start of his business he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. He missed work and his expenses accumulated. Clinton beat cancer, returned to work, and dug himself out physically and financially. Over the next 4 years he built a successful business. Last month after going in for his routine scans, he received the devastating news that his cancer had returned.

He will beat cancer a second time; I have no doubt. But, He needs our help. Please, please consider donating to help offset the cost of missed work and medical bills. Chattanooga needs Clinton back behind the chair.
