It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the death of Clint Ekhoff. Clint was 55 years young. Services for Clint will be held on Saturday 10/2 at 11am at Viegut Funeral Home (1616 N Lincoln Ave, Loveland, CO 80538).
They will tell you that you should prepare for death. Death is inevitable. No one is too good to beat it. Well Clint deserved to beat it, if anyone did. Clint brightened the lives of so many in our community. He was a valuable, committed member of the local bowling community, an established and respected business owner, friend to anyone he met, a beloved father, grandfather, son, uncle, and an incredible husband.
While Clint had many passions, none were greater than spending time with his Wife, children and grandchildren.
Clint started The Cutting Edge lawn business almost 30 years ago and grew it into a successful business. His clients all appreciated his attention to detail and work ethic. This not only included his typical yard mowing, but during the winter, snow removal as well.
Clint loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, hunter and collector of arrowheads. The annual winter elk hunt in Craig Colorado was the highlight of his winter, unless he was lucky enough to catch a big trout through the ice at one of the North Park Lakes. He shared his passion for fishing with many of his friends who will all remember the excitement on his face when he hooked one and exclaimed “Got one!” (and the disappointment if it got off).
Clint loved bowling and he excelled at it, having many 300’s and 800’s and was inducted into the Loveland/Estes Park Association Bowling Hall of Fame. He also spent many hours supporting the local association and he was well respected in the bowling community.
Clint was always there for anyone that reached out for help. He was truly a selfless soul and would do anything to help a friend in need. We should all aspire to be as gracious and caring as Clint.
He was so rare. Heaven truly gained an angel to be reckoned with — in the best way.
As you can imagine, my family was not at all prepared for the financial burden that comes along with an unexpected passing. That is why I have created this fundraiser in hopes that you’ll show your support. Shannon has more than enough to worry about right now, let’s come together and try and ease some financial burden.
Thank you so much for even considering to donate and for taking the time to read about our incredible Clint.
