After 16 years, we're finally getting married at the end of August! We can't begin to tell all of you how excited we are to say our vows and start the next phase of our lives.
A bunch of people want to celebrate with us and many of you have asked where we're registered. And, after 16 years, we have pretty much every household item we could possibly need, as well as a bunch we don't.
Except the house...
That comes next. Finances get merged and a savings account is ready to hold everything we can spare to help us make our next dream a reality as well. So if you're feeling generous enough to browse over to a wedding registry, we're asking that you instead choose to give to our (lofty) downpayment goal of about 10% of what we're looking to spend on a home.
We don't expect to hit $20,000 in wedding gifts, but we did want to be realistic to ourselves in what we need to get together.
