Clinch: A Coming-of-Age Film About Deportation & Identity
Donation protected
Hi,
I’m reaching out to share a deeply personal project I’ve written and am now directing—a short film called Clinch.
Set in Queens, Clinch tells the story of Sienna Gonzalez, a teenage Latina boxer training under the weight of her father’s Olympic dreams. But behind the gloves and ambition is a deeper truth: her mother has been deported. Her father believes a gold medal might bring her home. Sienna’s carrying that hope—but quietly trying out for her school’s crew team, chasing her own hidden path.
This is not just a film about sports. It’s about the emotional cost of deportation—the families fractured, the silence that follows, and the pressure put on the children left behind. It’s a human story behind the political headlines.
We’re fundraising $20,000 to complete production—and to do it right: to pay our cast and crew, secure authentic locations, and bring this story to life with honesty and care, buy AUGUST 1, 2025.
If this resonates with you, I’d be truly grateful for your support. Every donation, share, or connection helps move us forward.
Our sizzle reel premiers on youtube June 17th at 11am Eastern Standard Time link -
And if you’d be open to being a fundraising ambassador—reaching 20 people in your network to help us reach our goal—I’d love to talk.
Thank you for reading and for being part of the story.
With gratitude,
