We (Keith and Crystal) are building a home climbing wall for training at home. Partners in everything, we put his master woodworking and building skills together with her mechanical knowledge to scheme up a dream wall. This is no small project: it will be complete with an adjustable systems board and roof climbing.
They also volunteer for up to 20 hours per week for the last 2 years in the DEIJ realm for climbing with a Washington non-profit. Before that they also worked in the non-profit realm to recruit BIPOC and women to their mechanical field.
Social inclusion, diversity, and justice in climbing has always been at the forefront of our minds. We spend countless hours on moving the needle toward change. Now, we would like something for ourselves for our own care: a home climbing wall.
