My dad, Tally Aujla, spent his life providing for us—our mum, my brother, and me. He gave us a safe home, food on the table, and most importantly, countless beautiful memories.
One of our favourite family memories is from a trip to Canada. While we were all still asleep, Dad spontaneously woke up one morning and climbed Grouse Mountain in Vancouver—completely untrained but totally determined. That moment captures who he was: driven, someone who never let anything stop him.
That same energy is what we’re taking with us as we take on a challenge of our own to climb Snowdon. We’re unfit but, we’re channeling Dad’s “no one is going to tell me I can’t do it” attitude to get to the top!
We’re doing this climb to raise money for Unique Home Jalandhar, an orphanage in India that cares for abandoned baby girls—some left by roadsides, near rivers, or in the special cradle outside the home. We visited the charity as a family in 2017, where my dad donated x amount to the charity itself and gave x amount specifically for the children to get sweets and chocolate!
Please help us honour our dad’s memory and support the incredible work of Unique Home Jalandhar by donating whatever you can.
