Climbing Mt. Kenya for Kit4 kenya

Tom Pritchard, Casper Tubbs, Henry Pritchard and I are climbing Mt Kenya as a fundraiser for the Kit4kenya charity. We hope that by undertaking this gruelling 4 day climb we can raise money and awareness for this brilliant charity.

 

Kit4kenya was founded in 2017 aiming to recycle sports kit and sends it to the less fortunate in Kenya. It has a brilliant initiative causing a profound effect on the children and adults it reaches stimulating a passion for the beautiful game. Football is the most popular sport in Kenya by leaps and bounds and every tiny mud hut town you drive through inevitably has an unkempt field with a goal at either end. Sadly the passion for the sport is not matched by the resources required and this is what caused Kit4kenya’s inception. Since 2017 £170,000 worth of kit has been successfully delivered, in addition to hundreds of pairs of boots. The charity is partnered with England Football, Arsenal FC, Oxford United and AC Roma in order to realise their goals but of course sending kits from England to Africa is an expensive endeavour, therefore I am hoping that any kind donation can make a big impact.
