Climbing Mount Snowdon for the galgos!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jo and I have 3 galgos from 112 Carlota Galgos. I'm climbing Snowdon to raise much needed funds for these beautiful innocent sentient beings. Sadly they are treated as commodities in Spain and have no protection from abuse under Spain's pathetic animal welfare bill. Each year over 60,000 are discarded, traumatised or brutally killed by their galgueros (hunters) at the end of the hunting season every February.
All these dogs want is their own forever home with a warm comfy bed. 112 Carlota Galgos receives no public funds and relies on donations to keep going. It's run by a fantastic family who spend 24 hours a day rescuing and rehabilitating these beautiful hounds. Some hounds take a few weeks to be ready for adoption and others will stay forever due to deep seated fear and trauma.
Please help me raise money for the medical clinic which treats every new arrival and provides ongoing care. Each new arrival needs blood tests, innoculations, x-rays for broken bones, emergency surgeries etc Cleaning products to ensure the dog bays are clean, blankets, beds...the list is endless.
Thank you
