Climbing Kilimanjaro in Memory of Our Beautiful Daughter

I’m taking on one of the biggest challenges of my life — climbing Mount Kilimanjaro — to raise £10,000 for three incredible charities: Milannas My Mito Mission, Harley Jae Trust and Zephyrs.

These three organisations have been there for our family through one of the hardest experiences imaginable. Our beautiful daughter Milanna-May was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease at 9 months of age and, heartbreakingly, she passed away at just two years, nine months old.

Losing a child changes your life forever. While no amount of support can ever take away the pain of losing our little girl, these charities supported our family throughout her illness and have continued to be there for us since her passing. Their kindness, understanding and support have meant more to us than we could ever put into words.

Now, I want to give something back.

I’ve set myself the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in our daughter’s memory and raising £10,000 to help these amazing charities continue supporting other families who are facing the unimaginable.

And we’ve already made an incredible start — £4,000 has already been raised! ❤️

That means we are now just £6,000 away from our £10,000 target.

My promise is that as soon as we reach £10,000, I will book my climb and begin the journey to the summit. ⛰️

This climb will be about so much more than reaching the top of a mountain. It will be for our daughter. It will be for every family affected by mitochondrial disease and childhood illness. And it will be for the charities that continue to stand beside families when they need it most.
