Hiking has transformed my life in many ways - it has improved both my physical and mental well-being, taught me life skills in new ways, fostered my personal growth, and brought me closer to nature than ever before. This October, I'm embarking on my biggest challenge yet - climbing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

I understand that I'm in an incredibly privileged position and would like to take this opportunity to give back. Globally, 1.1 billion people have a visual impairment that could have been treated or prevented. As someone who relies heavily on their sight both when hiking and moving through life, this statistic is shocking. Preventative treatments have a fairly low cost for Western Standards, which means that your donation can have a major impact on people's lives.
