Climbing for Ukraine

Hello! Tess, Olivia, Isi, Connie and Polly successfully completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in under 12 hours on the 29th April. Tess and Olivia used this as part of their training for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro - the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest freestanding mountain in the world! Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano in the United Republic of Tanzania and at 5, 895m above sea level, it is no small feat. On 4th July Tess and Olivia will set off on a 7 day hike via the Lemosho route to the summit and back. 

Why? The ongoing war in Ukraine is truly devastating. We wanted to help the millions who have been displaced and provide support for those still in the country.

Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is a charity close to our hearts. It is an independent emergency medical aid organisation that provides relief to victims of war, natural disasters and epidemics in over 70 countries across the globe.

In Ukraine, MSF has distributed war-wounded kits and provided trauma training for surgeons. They also have teams organised on borders and in neighbouring countries to get essential staff and supplies into Ukraine, while providing humanitarian assistance to those crossing.
