Climbing for Teddy ❤️ — The Three Peaks Challenge

We’re taking on a huge family challenge to help raise vital funds for a very special little boy — Teddy, who has been battling an aggressive childhood cancer for the last year.

Teddy is just three years old, and he is a friend of our three-year-old daughter, Dottie. Watching another little child and his family go through something so unimaginably difficult has touched all of us deeply.

So, we’ve decided that as a family, we want to do something to help.

️ Brody’s Three Peaks Challenge

Our 11-year-old son, Brody, has decided to take on an enormous challenge alongside his stepdad and his uncle.

Together, they are going to attempt the National Three Peaks Challenge, aiming to climb the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales — all within 24 hours.

That means:

Ben Nevis, Scotland — 1,345m (4,413ft)
Scafell Pike, England — 978m (3,209ft)
Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Wales — 1,085m (3,560ft)

In total, they will climb around 3,408 metres (11,182ft) — the equivalent of climbing the height of more than three and a half Ben Nevises — while also travelling between the mountains and trying to complete the entire challenge within 24 hours.

For an 11-year-old, this is a huge undertaking. There will be long hours, steep climbs, exhaustion, weather conditions and the pressure of keeping moving against the clock.

But Brody knows that, as tough as those mountains will be, it is nothing compared with what Teddy and his family have faced over the last year.

And that’s why he’s doing it.

❤️ Why Teddy?

Teddy was a happy, curious little boy who loved exploring and getting into everything. Then, in June 2025, his family’s world was turned upside down.

After weeks of worrying symptoms and hospital visits, Teddy was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. His tumour was so large that it filled his abdomen, pressing on his organs, and the cancer had already spread to his bone marrow.

Since then, Teddy has endured more than any child ever should.

He has been through months of intense chemotherapy, major surgery, high-dose chemotherapy, stem cell harvesting, proton beam therapy and immunotherapy, alongside countless scans, procedures, blood and platelet transfusions and bone marrow tests.

He has battled serious complications and infections, spent weeks bed-bound and had to learn to walk again more than once.

And despite everything, Teddy keeps smiling. He keeps fighting. He keeps being Teddy.

Now his family face another devastating setback.

Teddy is at high risk of his cancer returning. The maintenance treatment that could help prevent relapse has unexpectedly been withdrawn in the UK. Because of complications from his treatment, Teddy has already lost part of the protection he had.

His family are now facing the heartbreaking reality of having to fund treatment privately, with the remaining options available in America and Rome coming at an enormous cost.

They need to raise £250,000 to give Teddy the best possible chance of beating this disease for good.

‍‍‍ And it’s become a family challenge…

Brody won’t be doing this alone.

While Brody, his stepdad and his uncle take on the full Three Peaks Challenge, Dottie and the rest of our family will be taking on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) ourselves, joining in the fundraising and doing our own little bit to support Teddy.

Dottie is only three.

She doesn’t fully understand cancer, treatment or the enormity of what Teddy and his family are facing.

But she knows Teddy is her friend.

And she knows we are doing something to help him.

So this isn’t just Brody’s challenge anymore. It’s become a family challenge — for Teddy.

We want to show Teddy and his family that they aren’t alone.

We want to turn our tired legs, sore feet, early starts and mountain miles into something positive.

Most importantly, we want to help raise money towards the £250,000 Teddy’s family desperately need.

Three mountains. One huge challenge. One very special little boy.

Every step Brody, his stepdad and his uncle take will be for Teddy.

Every step Dottie and our family take up Snowdon will be for Teddy.

And every pound donated could help give this brave little boy the chance of a future he deserves.

If you can donate, no matter how big or small, we would be incredibly grateful.

If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page. Helping us spread Teddy’s story could be just as valuable.

Let’s get behind Brody, Dottie and the whole family as we take on the mountains — and, most importantly, let’s help Teddy take on his biggest mountain yet. ❤️

£1, £5, £10, £20 — every single donation counts.

Thank you so much for supporting us, for supporting Teddy, and for helping us turn this family challenge into something that could make a real difference.
