Climbing for Jake – Supporting PDSA in His Memory
In February 2023, our beloved dog Jake passed away. He wasn’t just a pet – he was family. His loss left a huge hole in our lives, and the pain of saying goodbye was made even harder by the worry of vet bills we couldn’t afford at the time.
Thankfully, the PDSA (The People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals) stepped in and helped us when we needed it most. Their kindness, compassion, and support meant the world to us during such a heartbreaking time. Now, we want to give something back.
On 26th July, Rebecca and I will be climbing Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, in Jake’s memory. We’re doing this to raise money for the PDSA – the charity that was there for us and Jake when we had nowhere else to turn.
The PDSA has been caring for pets in need for over 105 years. In 2022 alone, their incredible team helped over 4,600 sick and injured animals every single day. They provide vital treatment to pets whose owners are struggling financially – and they rely on donations to keep going.
Every single contribution, no matter the size, helps make sure no pet suffers because their owner can’t afford help. If you can, please consider donating to support this amazing cause. It means more than we can say – not just to us, but to the thousands of pets and families who rely on the PDSA every year.
Thank you so much for your support. This climb is for Jake – and for every animal who deserves love, care, and a fighting chance.
With love and gratitude,
Daniel & Rebecca
