Climb for Oesophageal Cancer
I’m raising money in aid of OGCancer NI and every donation will help.
In May, my family and I will be climbing Croagh Patrick in memory of my husband Joseph O’Hagan who passed away from oesophageal cancer in January 2021.
The five-year survival rate for oesophageal cancer in Northern Ireland is 18.6% making it one of the hardest cancers to treat. This is down to it being difficult to detect early as the signs are often mistaken for conditions like acid reflux or indigestion. Oesophageal cancer is becoming more common especially in males.
OGCancer NI focus on supporting people who are affected by oesophageal and stomach cancer as well as, raising awareness of early signs and working in partnership with healthcare providers to promote the best outcomes for patients.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.
