In September, I am going to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks with the support of my husband, Alister. Those who know him- wish me luck as I am marched around the 24 mile round trip, including 1,585m of ascent! Our aim is to complete the route in under 12 hours.

I’m raising money for Ankoma Outreach who support the Ankoma sub-district in rural Ghana with the development of Education, Healthcare and Sanitation. Their mission is to transform lives in the Ankoma community, creating brighter futures through education, health, and opportunity. They aim to support and inspire the community to live their happiest lives and enable the disadvantaged people in the Ankoma sub-district to have the same opportunities as others.

In February, I am lucky enough to be spending two weeks visiting Ankoma and providing much needed help to make a difference to their struggling community. While out there, I will help develop the quality of their education including an exciting classroom renovation. The visit will also continue to strengthen my school’s links with their community.
