Hi, I’m Rita
In December 2025 - January 2026 I’m going to take on the biggest challenge of my life: climbing Mount Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in South America at 6,961m (22,837 ft).
But for me, this climb isn’t just about reaching the top.
✨ I’m doing it to support AAA Malta (Association for Abandoned Animals https://aaamalta.com), a shelter that rescues, protects, and rehomes countless abandoned dogs. They give love and safety to animals who have been neglected or abandoned, but they rely entirely on donations to keep going.
✨ I’m also doing it as a woman in mountaineering. Climbing is still a male-dominated world, and I want to show that women have the resilience, strength, and determination to take on these challenges too. This mountain is my way of proving that; for myself, for other women, and for anyone who’s ever been told they “can’t.”
Why it matters:
Every animal at AAA has a story, and so does every woman who fights to be seen and heard in spaces where we’re underrepresented. This climb brings those two passions together: giving a voice to the voiceless and proving that women are strong enough to rise above any challenge.
How you can help:
Your support will help make this expedition possible, covering the essential costs so I can dedicate the climb to AAA and bring more awareness to their mission.
This isn’t just about reaching the summit.
It’s about breaking barriers, standing up for animals in need, and showing what’s possible when we come together.
Every single donation, no matter the size, will be part of this journey. Every step I take up that mountain will be powered by you.
I’ll be sharing updates along the way so you can follow my journey (https://www.instagram.com/rita_saliba_12/). Thank you so much for being part of it. Together, we can make this climb meaningful.
