Introducing the DOA Project:
In the wake of a devastating flood that swept through Rio Grande do Sul, leaving homes destroyed and lives shattered, a beacon of hope emerged—the DOA project. DOA, which means "donate" in Portuguese, is more than just a project—it's a lifeline for those in need. Led by a dedicated group of Brazilian women immigrants residing far from their homeland, DOA is a heartfelt initiative aimed at supporting their native state. Our mission is clear: to extend a helping hand to our beloved community in Rio Grande do Sul. While we may be separated by distance, our commitment to our hometown remains unwavering.
Supporting the Volunteer Architects:
As part of our efforts, we are directing our donations to support the dedicated team of volunteer architects .These architects are at the forefront of the reconstruction efforts, working tirelessly to rebuild homes and restore hope in the wake of the disaster. With their expertise and unwavering determination, they stand ready to embark on a journey of reconstruction, one brick at a time. Our donations will provide them with the resources they need to carry out their vital work and make a lasting impact in our community.
Why We Care:
As a group of Brazilians living far from our homeland, our hearts ache as we witness the aftermath of this catastrophe. Despite being miles away, our ties to our families and friends back home remain strong, and their struggles weigh heavily on our minds. We may be separated by distance, but our bond with our community remains unbreakable.
It's this deep connection that compels us to take action and support the DOA project. We may not be able to be there in person to lend a helping hand, but we refuse to let our distance prevent us from making a difference. Through our collective efforts, we can stand in solidarity with our loved ones and provide the support they need to rebuild their lives.
Every donation, no matter how small, is a testament to our unwavering commitment to our community and our shared determination to overcome adversity together.
