Climate Change, a Work for Two Cellos
Tax deductible

Help kick off the first concert of our second season of Beyond the Bounds, which will be focused on one of society’s most pressing issues, climate change, coastal erosion and the sustainability of our natural resources. Climate Change, A Work For Two Cellos will present an original commissioned piece for cello duo by composer Kirsten Volness, which will be performed by Megan Koch and the artistic director of Beyond The Bounds, Naomi Steckman. The event will also include a presentation of evocative photographs that reflect the issue of climate change, by photographer Julia Cumes. The concert will take place on March 12th, in Brewster, MA at a location such as a greenhouse or a conservation land, and will be announced soon.
Beyond the Bounds is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit arts organization who’s mission is to present an annual series of concerts and pop-up events that feature classical musicians, modern dancers and other artists performing in the unique open spaces of Cape Cod and its region. Each concert and event takes place at a beach, conservation land, municipal space, state park or National Seashore property, offering audience members a chance to uniquely connect and engage with our region’s beautiful landscape while experiencing the cooperative creative expression of interdisciplinary local artists. We offer our performances either free of charge or for a small donation, to ensure that the arts are accessible and affordable to all.
Your donation will assist us in off-setting the expenses for the entire event, including artist stipends, materials and location fees, as well as supporting our ongoing mission to connect the public with the natural world and collaborative, interdisciplinary arts.
