Since launching this campaign, our work has continued to grow alongside the communities we serve. Today, Maru Action Development Foundation is developing the Maru Foundation Solar Access Project—a community-led initiative expanding access to clean solar energy for off‐grid communities including households, schools, health facilities, places of worship, and small businesses across Kasese District, Western Uganda.

Beyond providing reliable renewable energy, the initiative is creating green skills and employment opportunities for women and young people, reducing dependence on kerosene and other polluting fuels, and helping build healthier, more climate-resilient communities.
