Climate Action Transportation Fund!
Donation protected
Unexpected short term funding need! We have more turn out than anticipated for our Earth Day action and need your help in the next week to make sure students can attend!!!
When YVA offers transportation support, hundreds of young people get real life experience with activism and gain the understanding and experience that will motivate them to attend actions in the future on their own. We need your help to get hundreds of young people into the streets and able to work collectively for climate justice.

YVA is committed to breaking down barriers so that youth from frontline, underserved, and overly-impacted communities can lift their voices and flex their power for climate justice.
This means we organize inside of schools and support youth in mobilizing their immediate communities to take action. Many times, young people in YVA clubs and supportive teachers have many students who want to attend actions, strikes, events and other opportunities. However, often the costs and logistics of public transit can be prohibitive.
In March, YVA provided transportation support to over 700 frontline students to attend the climate strike, and also supported 12 youth to travel to LA to successfully lobby the California Teachers' Association to drop their opposition to fossil fuel divestment. We now have hundreds signed up for transportation support for our April strike and many more that want to go back to LA for the next convention in May, to get the teachers' union fully in support of divestment.
Can you help us raise funds so young activists can get to where they need to be to make their voices heard??
Carolyn Norr is withdrawing the funds raised and using them for the busses.
