Cliffs last wish

As you will all be aware on Thursday 4th June 2020, we sadly lost our best friend Cliff. We have been in close contact with his family and loved ones, who have got to arrange a funeral. This is hard enough in any circumstances but only being allowed a certain amount of people to attend has put so much extra pressure on his children. Cliff really was loved by many.
Cliff suffered with health problems his whole life, he fought a hard battle. He had heart problems, numerous heart surgeries, COPD and cancer of the oesophagus. He really did fight until the very end, he was tired, and this was Cliff’s time to go to sleep and rest.
All of this and it wasn’t often you would see him without a smile on his face, he had a heart of gold and would help anyone who needed. He lived every moment of his life to the fullest.
His children are arranging his funeral to the best of their ability trying to think and remember everything what he would of wanted. However funds are tight so I have set this page up with their permission to ask if you can spare anything to help with the costs towards the funeral, Cliff’s last wishes was to be brought home to Basildon where his children were born and raised and where there was many happy memories. This is also what is bumping the cost up as it’s another county. Please could we ask if you are able to support this in any way instead of flowers.
In time when the social distancing has eased there will be a proper wake in true Cliff style where everyone will be welcome to share your memories.x
