5 years ago our dad, Cliff Strand, had a lung transplant that saved his life at UCLA. Recently he has had many medical setbacks spending weeks at a time in the hospital.  Two weeks ago, right after Thanksgiving,  he could not breathe and was rushed to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. They stabilized him, however, it is beyond their capabilities to diagnose the what or why. We contacted UCLA  and they are working with Sunrise on treatments. We are pursuing a transfer as well.
Last night Cliff was diagnosed with Covid-19 and is now really struggling.  He had a Plasma transfusion this morning but had another episode where he can not breathe.  He is on full oxygen in ICU and very weak and fragile.  We are not sure what the future holds. The funds raised will be going towards uncovered treatments,  possible transfer to UCLA and any support he will need in the future.
