Cleveland Long III’s Funeral

Cleveland Long III was born on December 28th, 1968. He was an amazing individual that was loved by everyone and always had a smile on his face. My Uncle loved life and loved his country enough to serve some time in the United States Army and is a Gulf War Veteran. He was my Uncle but more so like a father to me throughout my life since I was raised by a single mother and never really had a father in my life. He had one son named Andre Long that is like a brother to me and we were raised like such. Cleveland Long III’s life was taken away from him when he was walking and was hit by a truck on the day of his only son’s 24th birthday May 31, 2018. The driver of the vehicle along with a passenger left the scene without notifying anyone that my Uncle was hit. The driver of the vehicle in front of the people who struck my Uncle, was there to witness it and called for help, but it was too late. My uncle was pronounced dead at the hospital. This has been a hard time for me and my family and it definitely came as a shock. We cannot believe that he is gone and we will miss him dearly along with all those that loved him. I would like to raise money to help pay for my Uncle’s funeral costs. The cost to have a funeral is sadly very high and it’s something that my cousin Andre, his only son, was not prepared at this time in his young life to pay for. I would like to try and help Andre celebrate his Father’s Home Going and give him a nice service. Any donation would greatly be appreciated.

The funeral will take place on Saturday, June 9th at Richardson’s funeral home at 11am.

I hope this GoFundMe will help take the burden off of Andre in this time of mourning.As soon as all funds are received I will be withdrawing them and delivering it to Andre.
