UPDATE:
Hi everyone I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the love and support for Cleo so far. It honestly means more than I can put into words.
Cleo is resting and staying strong at home. I have scheduled her surgery for tomorrow (Tuesday April 14th) at 9am. I am so thankful to get into surgery as quick as possible so she can start healing.
We’ve raised $2,300 so far, which is incredible!!!
If you’re able to share or donate, it would truly mean everything to us. Even just spreading the word helps more than you know
Thank you again for supporting my girl
Hi everyone, my name is Stephanie, and this is Cleo.
Cleo is a German Shepherd/Husky mix and has been my pride and joy for the past 7 years. Through so many life changes, she has been my constant—always by my side, no matter what.
Cleo’s 7th birthday on April 6th turned out to be both one of her best days—and one of her hardest.
She spent it doing everything she loves most: going for a long walk, picking out a new toy and treats at the pet store (while soaking up plenty of love and attention from the staff), and exploring the beach on a beautiful low-tide afternoon. It was shaping up to be a perfect day.
But in a heartbreaking moment, while chasing a stick into the water—one of her absolute favorite things—Cleo tore her CCL (the equivalent of an ACL in humans).
We ended her birthday at the emergency vet hospital, where imaging confirmed the injury. After a long and emotional few hours, she was finally able to come home and rest.
The road to recovery will be a long one, but Cleo is strong. I know that one day she’ll be back where she belongs—running along the shore, feeling the sand beneath her paws and the salty ocean breeze all around her.
As many of you know, veterinary care can be incredibly expensive and overwhelming. I’ve always found it hard to ask for help, but I know I can’t do this alone. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to both of us and go directly toward Cleo’s surgery and recovery.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for supporting Cleo.
