Hi, My name is Brianna and just 2 days before Thanksgiving my family received terrible news we were far from ready for. Our family dog whom we love so much and have had since she was only 4 months was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma aka bone cancer. This is an aggressive cancer accompanied by painful bone destruction where it grows. The treatment for this cancer is limited and our only option to give Cleo a fighting chance is to amputate Cleo's front left leg and follow up with chemotherapy and immunotherapy. All of this is in hopes to extend Cleo's life as well as improve the quality of her life being she is currently in pain and limping due to the cancer in her leg. Unfortunately, all these treatments will be very expensive as Cleo does not have pet insurance. I am starting this Go Fund Me in order to help my family with costs as this diagnosis has taken us by surprise and we were unable to prepare for this terrible diagnosis. Currently we only have an estimate for Cleos amputation which all funds will be going towards. Additional funds will be going towards her chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and any additional treatment.
More about Cleo:
Cleo is a loving, charismatic, full-of-personality Rottweiler from NYC. She enjoys walks outside, playing with her toys, and collecting random things she finds on her walks. She came into our lives when she was a puppy and every day puts a smile on our faces. Despite her size, Cleo is a sweetheart who wins the heart of everyone she meets-even those who are first intimidated by her size. She is a big cuddler and loves climbing in everyone's lap often unaware of how big she actually is. Above all Cleo is a part of our family and we are not ready to say goodbye to her just yet as she has so much life and strength left in her. Even now she continues to smile at us and try her best to get around.
Anything and everything helps. Cleo, my family, and I would all be greatly appreciative of any help even so much as a share. Thank you.
