Hi, my name is Karolinah and my pets name is Cleopatra. While I was out of town on a work trip I left my pet under the care of a friend. When picking up my pet she had a limp. I gave the limp about a day to go away and then took Cleo to a vet to get her X-rays. Upon the results of her X-rays, we found out Cleo has a broken leg detached from her hip. She needs an FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) this is a salvage procedure that removes the femoral head and neck of the femur in order to eliminate the bone-on-bone contact of the hip. Unfortunately, this is extremely rare and very hard for a cat to even receive this type of bone break. This procedure is costing roughly $5000 and my care credit limit unfortunately has been denied for a limit increase to move forward with her treatment. I now am having to take my cat home with pain medication for a broken leg because I cannot afford her treatment. I dropped off my healthy kitty and picked her up with a very severe injury. As I wrangle up the cash and apply for affordable care foundations I am reaching out to family and friends with this go fund me - as anything helps and I cannot leave her in this pain. Thank you for any help or good energy you can send our way.
