Hi, my name is Kayleena and I have had my cat Clementine for the last 3 years, ever since she was a 2 month old kitten. After noticing she had a lump on her leg in December 2022, I took her to the vet to have a biopsy done. In January she was diagnosed with a Feline Injection Site Sarcoma (FISS). This is a rare, 1 out of 10,000 situation case in which the cat has a reaction to an injection, and a sarcoma (cancerous tumor) will appear. This form of cancer is highly locally aggressive to her leg, and she will be needing either radiation and removal of the tumor, or an amputation to remove the affected leg. Either option will be very expensive, and as a graduate student I can only provide so much. She is 3 years young and still a lively, happy kitty. After surgery will be able to live a long, happy life. The longer the cancer remains, the more likely it is to spread to other parts of the body that cannot be amputated. Please help me and my cat, I cannot bear to lose her due to financial delay.
