Lost Home, Pet, Vehicle- Tubbs Fire

On Sunday October 8, 2017 I was awoke to our home being surrounded by 100 foot walls of flames. We had about three minutes to wake everyone inside up and get off the property. We barely made it to the road before the entire mountain had been consumed by the fire. In three minutes, I had only time to gather my loved ones. We were unable to find out farm dog Sky, who died  in the fire.  I had to leave my Jeep parked in the driveway. There was no time.

Our home burnt to the ground.  And consequently, so did my Jeep. My Jeep was a huge part of my life. The road is my home away from home. I had every piece of camping gear that I have purchased over the last few years in a cargo box on the top of my jeep, worth thousands. My purse, cash, wallet, cards, ID, etc were all inside of the jeep as well as most of my clothes and shoes. I lived out of that Jeep when I wasn't home bc my lifestyle and work require me to be away and camping. I had just returned from one such trip a week before the fire and hadn't unpacked. I now have no income. The farm I worked on locally was lost in the fire. Without a vehicle, I am unable to travel for work or music gigs. I perform under the name Clementine Darling and was set to be in studio finishing my EP just two days later. Needless to say, I wasn't able to complete my album due to the huge financial setback.

I am only asking for enough to cover what my insurance won't cover. Insurance doesn't take in to account the total accumulative costs. Besides my home and my Jeep, I lost my entire wardrobe and valuables. I lost all of my camping gear as well. Thousands of dollars of new gear I had bought brand new from REI over the last year as I built my part time life on the road. I had everything I needed in my 16 cf Yakima Cargo Box to get by for weeks in remote locations. At this point, I feel pretty helpless.

I don't have any income at the moment and due to my line of work, probably won't be able to compensate for this moment or the future. Being a seasonal worker, most of my year's income is earned in these fall months. But due to the fires, there is no harvest this year.

I am looking at older Jeeps similar to mine and they are still near the $6000 range. If I can find a Jeep that is close to what I had, with low mileage, I would love to replace it soon and gain my independence and freedom once again. You've all asked how you can help, so here it is.

Right now I am staying with friends of friends living out of paper grocery bags. I have no future prospect on what my next home will be, but as I said...the road has always been my home. Please help me get back out there. Please help me continue my musical journey so I can share my music and help people to heal. Thank you. 24679364_15080937260_r.jpeg
