Donation protected
My name is Ainsley Evans. I am a junior at Princeton High School, Princeton, New Jersey. I created Cleats Without Borders and am working with four members in their junior year of high school to collect gently used soccer cleats and equipment from various schools and soccer clubs in the Central New Jersey area.
The mission of this new organization is to work with the Trinity Yard School and the surrounding community of Cape Three Points, Ghana, Africa to provide the resources needed to support this fee-free school's athletic and extra curricular needs, specifically soccer. This empowers the underprivileged Ghanaian youth to achieve their greatest potential.
The funds raised through Go Fund Me will be used to defray the transportation costs for organization members to travel to the Trinity Yard School in Ghana to deliver the equipment we collect. On this trip, the organization members will work with the Trinity Yard School's staff and students to rebuild the soccer field and support other projects critical to the ongoing sustainability of the school and its environs. Funds also will be used to purchase materials and supplies needed to make structural improvements to their soccer facility, and the balance of the funds will be used to further the fee-free school programs where access to educational opportunities is limited. Due to the lack of government-run secondary schooling, opportunities beyond junior high school are particularly limited, and local students are often prematurely pushed off the academic track, limiting their potential for growth. We are working to support the school through our hands on efforts and also raise funds needed to ensure the long term sustainability of this unique program.
The trip is scheduled for July 1st 2020 and our we hope to raise these funds by May 1st 2020. Thank you very much for your contributions to this project. If you have any questions please see our website www.cleatswithoutborders.org
Please note that should the Cleats Without Borders organization members not travel to Ghana for any reason, all funds raised through this effort will be donated to the Trinity Yard School.
