Innovation: Africa harnesses energy
from the sun to pump clean water
from the aquifers. Innovation: Africa’s
solar-powered water pumping systems
provide on average 30,000 liters of
clean water per day, per village, which
is enough water for an entire village’s
cooking, drinking and hygiene.
Access to clean water dramatically
changes the lives of community members
by significantly improving their
health, as well as their access to education
and income-generating opportunities,
including agricultural initiatives
and brick making businesses.
