Clean up of Fartown Pavilion

As many of our supporters are aware, Lindley have 2 pitches that we proudly use. The Birchencliffe club and the Fartown pavilion pitch once the home to Huddersfield’s own ‘Fartown’ team, a name still chanted on the giants stands to this day. Our junior and open age teams have trained and hosted games there for years. Sadly we discovered yesterday that some inconsiderate individuals have vandalised our Fartown site. They have broken in to all the containers, trashed all of the contents, set fire to some of the contents, poured paint everywhere including on the pitch, graffittied, broken glass everywhere, broken electricals and left it in a state that it is no longer safe for our juniors to train and we cannot host games there. We went to collect some equipment yesterday and this is how we found it. The council will be notified however with funding already at a minimum we don’t hold out much hope of getting any help to repair the damage caused. So if anyone is able to donate, even a couple of pounds, it will go a long way in helping get the grounds back to being a safer place to train and play.
