Clean Up Falklands

Hi,

Our names are Hedda Andersen (Norway) and Rodrigo Lira (Chile). Combined we have worked in the expedition tourism industry as guides and lecturers for more than a decade. We have witnessed terrifying change and destruction through our years in the "line of duty", and we want to do what we can to mitigate environmental problems where we can.

We are asking for donations to be made for reusable equipment to hand out to travellers in the expedition cruise industry visiting the Falklands. Hundreds of expedition cruise travellers can help us clean up the beaches around the Falklands starting from November 2023.

The equipment we need to buy is very simple, gloves and bags to collect marine litter in.

The gear will be bought in Chile by ourselves locally in a physical store and handed over personally by us to the ships which will use them to arrange clean up's in the Falklands. This means the gear takes the shortest and most environmentally friendly route possible.

All gear purchased for Clean Up Falklands will be reuseable.

All the marine litter removed will be responsibly handled and disposed of and recycled where possible.

We care deeply about protecting and conserving what is left of nature on our planet.

Please help us clean up marine litter from one of our planet's most pristine natural environments full of wildlife and plastic.
