'Clean Dean' took a mean fall
Hello! Many of you may have heard that my Father, fondly known as Clean Dean, took a pretty bad spill on his motorcycle, while trying to avoid a deer, on Saturday, July 26th. We are all so incredibly grateful that he survived being thrown 15-20ft off his '19 Roadglide. He had sustained a few injuries, such as: a fracture in is C7-T1 vertebrae, several broken ribs, a fracture in his left femur up by the hip, ruptured ligaments in his back and severe nerve pain in both his arms. Thankfully he was wearing his helmet and leathers, so road rash is pretty minimal. After a couple days in the ICU and being fit for a torso/back and neck brace (that he'll wear for the next several months), he has far exceeded $100,000 in medical bills.
About two weeks prior, a deer totalled his vehicle as well. Between insurance, lack of transportation, missing work and medical bills, he is really struggling.
My dad has always been front of the line to help others and it has come time that he needs help himself now. Whether you share and/or donate yourself, my family would be so appreciative with any assistance.
We are in awe with the overflowing support my father has seen over the last few days, it has pulled him from the slump and brought back the smile we are all so familiar with. Thank you a million times for your kind words, get-well-soon's, and playful harassment. I'm optimistic that we can come out on the brighter side of this dark time, with your assistance.
