Help the Spierings Family!
On September 24th, 2014 Clayton Spierings (14 months old at the time), son of Amanda and Cory Spierings was diagnosed with profound hearing loss in both ears. To help him hear and speak he will have bilateral cochlear implants on March 17.
While insurance will cover a large portion of this surgery, there are MANY additional costs associated with this surgery that are not covered by insurance, for example:
The doctors in Madison will need to change/turn on his processor every two weeks for a month and half, then every month;
Once a month trips to Milwaukee to work with the only speech therapist in the state that works with children with cochlear implants;
Parts in his processor (microphones) that are not covered by insurance will need to be replaced every six months;
Upkeep of his processor; and many more!
Let's help the Spierings family with all of their needs in their journey to help Clayton!
