Clayton Dorris Heart Attack Fund
Late Saturday night I almost lost my dad. After spending the day with family and friends he suffered a heart-attack. Thanks to the quick work of the team at St. Anthony Mustang and later St. Anthony Downtown my dad is still here with us today.
That's the good news.
The bad news is the doctors discovered 3 fully blocked ateries in his heart. In less than 48 hours time my dad went from handing out watermelon at a parade in Geary to being wheeled into surgery for a triple bypass.
My dad has had a rough year. He's spent most of 2016 fighting the effects of lyme disease, kidney stones and what we now know were symptoms of the blockage in his heart. Being in and out of hospitals and doctor's offices has burned through a great deal of his vacation time and a healthy chunk of family savings.
The doctors are anticipating 8 - 12 weeks before he can return to his work which will far exceed any remaining vacation time.
We are raising money to help my mom and dad through the recovery process to cover up to 3 months of normal household expenses and the cost of the ambulance ride.
My dad has always been there for friends and family to offer a helping hand and never expecting anything in return. Anything received will be a huge blessing and will mean the world to him. If you can't contribute any cash - no worries - a kind word and a prayer will go a long way too.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and donate.
Sincerely,
Clayton Dorris
