One of our own team members is now facing a major medical crisis and needs our help. Clayton Ringer is a 22-year-old man on my crew, originally from The Dalles, Oregon. He has worked at Lamesa II (Texas), Southern Oak (Georgia), and Sage (Utah). On March 4th, Clayton Ringer had a severe generalized seizure while at home with his brother, Avery. After all the scans and tests were done, Clayton was diagnosed with a cavernous hemangioma: a large, abnormal blood vessel in the brain that can cause bleeding, seizures and other complications. Treatment involves a complex surgery to repair the abnormal blood vessel, which is scheduled for May 15th at Oregon Health Sciences University Medical Center.
In the last year with RES, Clayton has had many roles, but is consistently a hard worker, a committed team member, and a loyal employee. He always has a great attitude and a generous heart. He is a solid go-to on my team.
The success rate is high for this type of surgery, but this is still brain surgery. The recovery process will take time. He will be out of work for months. I’m reaching out to the organization with the hope that we can help this special young man through this difficult time.
