Hello!
I am starting this GoFundMe for my cousin Clayton. Below is the post from his mother about the accident that happened over the weekend. With being down to one income for his family and nine weeks before they are able to have any kind of financial assistance through short-term disability they will need all the help they can get. As you can imagine, the strain that will put on him and his family with getting their bills paid and groceries for the family. I wanna help by lifting that burden off of them so that they can work on staying with him, getting him the help he needs to recover, and relieving that stress of how they’re gonna make it until he is able to work again. Clayton is a wonderful man who has served our country in the Marines. I’m reaching out to you and anyone you may know who may be able to help, whether it’s in a monetary way or just prayers for him and his family. There are two kids at home, ages 4, and 9! Your help in any way is greatly appreciated. He is in ICU at UAMS in Little Rock he has a concussion had internal bleeding. They had emergency surgery to remove part of his school to relieve some of the pressure. There are injuries to a part of his brain. He is doing OK, but there’s a very long road ahead of him.
On Saturday, Clayton Johns was in a motorcycle accident at the foot of Danville Mt. Although no one witnessed the accident, a passerby found his bike and Clayton in the ditch. The passerby called 911 and stayed with Clayton until help arrived. We are grateful for the assistance of Sarah and Jen, the EMS personnel on duty, who arranged for Clayton's medflight transport to UAMS. He was treated for brain swelling, which required the removal of part of his skull to relieve pressure. Fortunately, Clayton woke up this morning and is doing well. We appreciate prayers for his ongoing recovery, recognizing that he has a long rehabilitation ahead. Thank you to our friends and family for their prayers and support. We have every confidence in God's guidance and assistance during this challenging time. Today, hold your loved ones close. I am thankful to still have mine this morning. Clayton Johns
