ARTILLERY AG BIPOC CERAMICS SCHOLARSHIP
For The People and The Earth.

Artillery AG is in search of financial support to fund our new ceramics scholarship program for BIPOC community members!

Thank you to those who have already supported us and given us the strength to build our ceramics studio and creative gallery, even amidst the pandemic! We appreciate your support during the past year. Now it s time to get to a place of THRIVING together!

In community with PODER, MEDA, Mission Meals, The Women's Building, and The Black Banjo Reclamation Project we will be launching our Ceramics Scholarship Program. These amazing orgs will be nominating 20 community members to be apart of our 3 Month sustainability and ancestral focused ceramics  program.

Our scholarships will educate our community about the art and functionality of ceramics being a solution towards environmental sustainability.

Clay for our mental, physical & spiritual well-being.

Clay for our community’s well being.

Clay for the Earth’s well-being.

Clay for our Ancestral well-being.

Our goal at Artillery AG  is to reclaim ancestral practices through ceramics with an emphasis on water conservation, ecological restoration and local food security.

Our scholarship program will use clay to teach people about ancestral practices, while also creating sustainable water systems for local urban gardens and farms.

For our BIPOC scholarship program, we have been blessed with a donor who will match the amount of money we fundraise for the scholarships! We hope this will act as an incentive to give generously !  Your support is greatly appreciated.

Our gallery and photo studio will be used to document the work that is made in the space and give visibility to the BIPOC artists.

What the BIPOC Scholarship Entails:

Building Aquafers:

The main project the BIPOC artists will work on is creating Aquafers, or vessels made of clay used to conserve water and restore the ecology of the environment. The vessels will be donated to local farms and urban gardens.

Our practice creating Aquifers has been guided by the work of our ancestors who cared for the land in a sustainable way.

Your donation will help us give ceramic irrigation systems to communities dealing with food insecurity. Our aim is for this to empower communities to grow their own food, and learn about water conservation and ecological restoration.

The Aquafer Project will allow us to make a stronger and healthier water system for all!

The organizations we are working with to nominate our BIPOC Ceramicists include:

PODER SF who run Hummingbird Farm and The Secret Garden
THE WOMEN’S BUILDING
Mission Meals
Mission Economic Development Agency

Some of the farm-gardens we will be donating Aquafers to:
