Clay Bolling Memorial Music Scholarship
Clay Bolling was a passionate guitarist and musician who valued his community. He was most alive with a guitar in his hands and spoke through his music. He learned to play his guitar and perform on stage, grew as a musician, and started an original punk band, The Xiles, while attending the Let There Be Rock School - Frederick.
Sadly, Clay, at the age of 20, lost his life to cancer in July 2021.
He always wanted to give back to the community and help aspiring musicians pursue their creative goals through music. The Let There Be Rock School owned and operated by local musicians, provides 1 on 1 private lessons, and opportunities to learn in band settings and work together towards real live performances in a rock and roll club.
The Clay Bolling Memorial Music Scholarship continues Clay's legacy through the Let There Be Rock School, which will help under privileged kids (and adults) fulfill their aspirations of playing music.
