The Claudio family has been fighting against cancer for over a month now. Both of my parents were diagnosed with cancer the week before Thanksgiving. We were burdened with the news that my Mother has Breast Cancer, for the second time, and my Dad has Lung cancer.

Fortunately, my mother’s cancer was found early and she is now, as of last week, officially cancer free! But she’s still in recovery from her mastectomy.

My dad on the other hand, has been hospitalized since Thanksgiving. He has Stage 4 metastatic Lung Cancer that has metastasized to his brain, lymph nodes, left kidney and spine. The doctors initially gave him 6 months. Now, with more information about his cancer and treatment options, he MAY be able to live 1-2 years with chemotherapy.

My dad is home now but he needs 24 hour supervision due to his neurological and cognitive deficits. Meaning, things that come to us naturally don’t for him anymore.

My mom’s still recovering and can’t provide the proper care he needs. He doesn’t qualify for a rehab facility and any caregiver is strictly out of pocket pay.

We need your help to afford adequate time for a caregiver, medical bills and medications.

Anyone that knows my family and I, know that we’d never ask for help unless absolutely necessary.

I know the holidays are expensive but if you guys can find it in your hearts to spare anything even if it’s just a share or a prayer, we would appreciate it SO SO much.
