Road to the PGA Tour

Donation protected
As my college career has come to a close, my efforts will now be set on a career on the PGA tour. Some of you may be aware that the road to the PGA tour is not a small expenditure, which is why I have created this campaign; in hopes of finding some people who are interested enough in my story and want to back my ambition and dream of gaining my professional tour card. Below you will find more information about me and my golf achievements.

Let me start by telling you a little about myself. I am from Santiago, Chile, and started playing golf when I was 7 years old. In my youth I played more soccer than I did golf, however around the age of 9 I decided to dedicate my time to perfecting my golf game. My parents were very supportive in my choice to play and be competitive in golf. When I was in high school me and my parents realized that in order to really advance my golfing ability to the next level I had to seek out schools and coaches that would give me a better opportunity to improve my game.

Unfortunately, that meant looking into schools/coaches far away from home. After months of juggling the decision to leave my family and fly to the U.S.A all by myself to attend an academy called IMG, I had made up my mind that if becoming a professional golfer was in my future, this was a step I had to take. My parents sacrificed a lot to send me to IMG for my junior and senior year of high school, in hopes of my success catching the attention of college coaches. Reluctantly I had multiple college coaches scouting me during my time at IMG and with careful evaluation, I chose to attend the University of South Florida.

During my time at USF, I was able to further develop my golfing knowledge and better my game to compete at a high level. I earned Freshman of the year honors during my first year as well as an individual college win. I had multiple top 10 finishes as well as Co-medalist honors, and topped off by an individual win at our conference championships my senior year, which earned me Player of the Year honors. I am very grateful for the time I spent at USF and the people who were dedicated to making me a better all-around player.

Now that I have graduated, I have recently signed with a golf management company who will help me with my tournament schedule and various other details. Upon turning pro I plan on competing in multiple events this summer as well as competing in this years Web.com Tour q-school held in September and the PGA Latin America in January. With that being said these events are very costly, and even with the support from my family it won’t be enough to cover entry fees and traveling expenses. Alone the Web.com tour qualifying will cost $5,000 for the tournament alone, not including any travel. The journey to the PGA tour is costly, however it is one that I have worked for and dedicated myself to for a very long time. It is my passion and I enjoy it very much. Below I have included some of my past accomplishments, which I hope one day will include many PGA tour victories.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my story and have taken interest in my goals of reaching the PGA tour. However I have realized that reaching these goals will be tough without help and support from people like you who want to help me in achieving my dreams. Again I appreciate all the support I have received thus far from both family and friends and know that I will continue to work hard to make my dreams become reality!
