Claudine E. Scully

Hi, my name is Brandon, a friend of the family and I'm fundraising on behalf of William Scully, whose mom (born November 12th, 1941) passed away September 16, 2023 due to complications from a heart attack. We are reaching out in request of help by necessity, and not by desire. As many of you know, Claudine lost her husband at a young age, which greatly impacted her quality of life. So much so that her son Bill took on the responsibility of being her caregiver, although he let her make as many decisions as she could on her own to keep her individuality and freedom. After returning home from the Labor Day holiday, some concerning symptoms presented in Claudine that were being watched carefully. A couple of days later: she fell and was not able to get up, with additional concerning symptoms, resulting in the EMS being called. Upon arrival to the hospital, it was discovered that she had suffered a massive heart attack over the holiday weekend, and it had just progressively created damage, in which a pacemaker was needed. The surgery was successful, and Claudine looked as if she was stable,

for a couple of days until she suddenly passed away (while still in an inpatient status). The damage that had been done by the heart attack was so catastrophic that her heart was not able to pump strong enough to keep her blood pressure up. We are asking for and appreciate any help: great or small; it was discovered that her life insurance had lapsed two years prior, without our knowledge. We are in a bind, which only adds to the emotional turmoil of grieving: the funeral home will not even begin to plan the funeral without it being paid for. We have been able to gather half of the money that was required for funeral proceedings/cemetery costs but the additional $9,000 is required before we can begin planning a funeral for Claudine. Anything helps and we greatly appreciate your generosity.
