Claudifer James Pugglesworth is the happiest pug you will ever meet! My friends Micki and Jordan give him the happiest home with his best (cat) friend Lionel here in Philadelphia. Sadly, when they adopted Claude as a puppy in 2014, he had a severe heart murmur, but they knew they could overcome this battle. They took every penny they had and went to heart specialist veterinarian, but was there was nothing to be done at the time and to let Claude just live his life as a happy, healthy pup! This week things took a turn for little Claude though…he started acting odd on Thursday when Micki took him for a walk and he got home after becoming lethargic and breathing abnormally and couldn’t’ stop coughing. Micki did the best thing for Mr. Claude and took him to the best emergency vet in Philly. They told Micki and Jordan that he is going to need treatment for congestive heart failure and is currently staying overnight at the vet to get his oxygen levels back to normal because they were so low and to monitor his heart. The doctors say that this is really abnormal for such a young puppy…

Micki called me today and we cried for Claude because he has the biggest heart (literally) and he doesn’t deserve this pain he’s going through. And if you know Micki and Jordan you know that they are the hardest working people you’ll ever meet. They both go to school full-time, pay for everything on their own and are in they’re very early 20’s. They are more responsible and more adults than I could ever be and I hope they know they are such amazing people. I know they’re struggling with this money wise…the emergency vet visit and staying overnight is already over $1000. They want to also do what the doctor says and preform tests to figure out how they can help Claude, but that’s already amounting to $1500. I want to help out my friends as much as possible and help the best boy Claude from this pain so he can be happy and home with his family.
