Our father passed on October 9, 2023 - Thanksgiving Day - and exactly 19 years and 2 days after our mother passed. Our father started to decline at the same time as our mother 19 years ago and passed two days after his decline. Unfortunately there was no insurance, there is no inheritance and there is nothing left to help with the costs of his passing. We want to honour his wishes - which he set up when our mother passed - we are two working class sisters with no extra money to spare towards the costs of his death.

If you are able to help us in any way, we appreciate it so much and if you cannot, we understand. We hope to see those of you who knew him in life during his service and the celebration of life afterwards.

The total costs will be 9,100 - costs of the stonework are not included in the image of the funeral costs hence the difference - and gofundme takes a percentage so we're asking for enough to cover his costs and the GFM take.

The bill is due 30 days after the service.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, we sincerely appreciate it. Due to the fact that I do not have a driver's license and was therefore unable to validate my ID (only have SIN, health card, BC) I had to name my SO of 16 years as the beneficiary and the money will go into our joint account to cover the funeral expenses. I just wanted to be clear if people were wondering regarding the named beneficiary.
