A Classroom Without Walls — Help Students in Yabraso Learn with Dignity
Yabraso is a village in the Tain District of Ghana’s Bono Region, nestled between the hamlet of Papakyeae and the town of Tainso. Like many rural communities, Yabraso’s greatest strength is its determination, particularly in the area of education.
The village has just one school, but it serves far more children than it was built to hold. As a result, dozens of students are forced to learn outdoors, under trees or improvised shelters. During a recent visit, I spoke with the headmaster and saw firsthand how this situation affects the students’ morale. Still, his commitment to education was unwavering.
To ensure every child gets the chance to learn, the headmaster and the community began building an additional classroom using local materials. It’s a humble wooden structure, built with heart, but it’s not yet complete. It lacks a proper roof, walls, flooring, and furniture, which makes it unsafe and vulnerable to the weather.
The school also has a small computer lab that was donated years ago, but it is now in desperate need of renovation and equipment to be usable again.
We're raising funds to make this vision a reality — with a classroom that’s complete, safe, and ready for students to learn and thrive.

Your Gift Can Change a Child’s Future
This project builds more than a classroom — it builds hope, access, and dignity, especially for girls in rural Ghana, where opportunities are often limited.
Every euro will go directly toward materials. Labour is being provided by parents, youth, and teachers who believe in their children’s future.
If you’d like to connect directly with the school or explore other ways to support (in-kind donations, sponsorships, partnerships), please feel free to reach out.
Thank you for helping us bring learning under a roof — where it belongs.
NL:
Elke euro telt.
Bedankt voor je hulp!
