Everett Field Trip Fund

Hello from the seventh grade team at Everett Middle School! This year, our students are reading The Hate U Give. This book is a young adult novel by Angie Thomas that explores themes of police brutality and racism.

Our school’s mission is to empower our students to change the world, which is why it’s important for us to discuss challenging topics such as these. The students at Everett come from diverse backgrounds and consistently persevere in the face of adversity.

We have set up this GoFundMe in hopes of providing our students the experience of seeing this novel adapted for the big screen. We serve over 200 seventh grade students and it would be impossible to purchase that many movie tickets with the funds we are given. In an effort to create equity, we are asking that you support our love for our students so that all of them can attend regardless of their financial standing. We are excited to give them this meaningful experience outside of school and hope you will consider donating!
