"Class Of" Mental Toughness Scholarship

The St. Lawrence College Pre-Service Firefighting Class of 2025 has continued the tradition of raising money towards the ‘Mental Toughness’ scholarship established by the class of 2021. We aim to fundraise $2000 in addition to that raised in previous years. (A Total Goal of $9,030).

The money raised will be awarded annually to a student that has persevered through struggles and difficulties to become a future firefighter, regardless of academic performance or socioeconomic background.

On May 31st 2025, our classmates and those up to the challenge will be running a half-marathon (21.1 Km) to advocate for resilience, physical and mental wellbeing along the 1000 Islands Parkway trail.

The fire service is often referred to as a family. It is part of the culture to help our fellow firefighters and community members whenever they may need. Your donation would help us continue the tradition of helping the future first responder community by raising awareness about mental health in firefighting and emergency services.
