Class of '21 Nursing Program Graduation
Donation protected
Hello to all friends and family!
We are the 2021 Fall graduating class from the Mt. San Antonio College Nursing program. Mt. SAC is located in Walnut, CA and the Registered Nursing program is scheduled for 4 semesters (usually 2 years) and finishes with an Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN).
We started our second semester in February 2020 and in March our program was paused due to the COVID lockdown. Hospitals did not have the resourses to welcome students at that time and the Board of Registered Nursing states that we have to take our theory classes and clinicals simultaneously. This meant that our graduation was moved back a semester and our plans, money, and schedules all had to adjust. We are asking for help because the money that some of us have saved for school, is being used up because of the extended time in school, supporting families, adjusting job situations, and much more!
We need your help! We are graduating on December 11th, 2021 and it is up to us to raise the money for our graduation which includes: nursing pins (pictured below), sashes (pictured below), decorations, chairs, catering, and pamphlets. Later we all must take a boards exam to become a licensed nurse called the NCLEX which costs $200 for each student.
There are 60 students in the cohort and all of this is adding up!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story!
If you are feeling called to, please donate and share!
Much love from the Mt. SAC Nursing Program class of '21
