From Lindsey:
Our family, the Merle family, has endearingly referred to ourselves as Ravens or black birds for many years. Many of us having a tattoo or looking to the ravens or crows for past family members that live on. It’s been an ongoing reference in our family dialogue. I often think of them as the messengers from the spirit world. That possess the unique powers of seeing beyond this earthly realm. These are the types that can see the larger picture. The meaning behind the words, the glance, the vibration, etc. They are also aware that the earth needs much more than just Ravens.
There’s another type of person in this world. There are people who feel on this earth in an indescribable way. They can feel the feelings of the land. The feelings of the room. The feelings of the group. The feelings between two people. They can feel the highs and lows of this world like no one else. I personally believe, they feel all the feelings that people are not feeling themselves in efforts to purify it. Energy is never lost. They become the stewards of the earth. Cleaning this world of the energy others cannot manage. It is a beautiful gift and an awful burden. Clark is one of these people.
Clark has always the first one to offer help with something. He would joyfully remark that “Well, yes. I love projects. Put me to work!” I don’t think that he loved projects as much as he loved the people he was helping. His joy was to be of service in our lives.
Anyone who knows Clark knows that his heart is so pure. He is so incredibly nurturing. Whether it be working on cars with his brother, Jake, helping our mother, Brenda, with the garden, tending to the pets with treats and baths with his sister, Victoria. Playing music with Mike and Luke. Doing projects with Lindsey. Hanging out with Pops. His aspirations in life had little to do with him but more about nourishing those around him.
Clark has changed my life, my family’s life, and this world for us. I am a more loving, compassionate person because of him. I truly think these are the two qualities we should all be actively growing in our lives. I know how important family is because of him. I know how sweet love can be.
There are no words to describe the human side of his passing. Devastating is as close as I can find. Tragic being another. Our family has felt torn after the previous loss of Luke and Brady just a couple years ago. Clark’s loss compounds the grief in an unimaginable way.
The night of his passing, a white owl appeared in front of Clark’s mother and brother. Planting itself in front of them for several minutes. Symbolically, the color white representing the purity he has now embodied. The Owl representing silent wisdom.
We know now that when we look to the sky, along with our other Raven ancestors, we now have the guidance of our white owl.
As I write this, I feel as though Clark is jokingly asking me, “Who??”
Love,
Lindsey (Clark’s sister)
The Merle family is facing an unimaginable heartbreak. Last week, little brother Clark passed away unexpectedly, leaving family and friends in shock and grief. In addition to the overwhelming emotional pain, this tragedy has brought sudden expenses that no one could have prepared for.
We are raising funds to help cover immediate costs such as memorial arrangements and the many unforeseen expenses that arise in times like this.
No gift is too small; every contribution will help ease the financial burden so the Merle family can focus on what matters most: honoring Clark’s memory and finding comfort with their loved ones.
If you can, please donate and share this page with others who may wish to help. Your support—whether through a donation, a share, or a message of love—means the world to the Merle family during this heartbreaking time.
